Certification Information

Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator Examination (CFEI)
National certification as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator is available to those individuals meeting the requirements through the National Association of Fire Investigators. Attendees of this NAFI cosponsored seminar that wish to participate in the CFEI program must complete the following prior to the examination.

  1. Be a member of the National Association of Fire Investigators.
    Note: Membership application and fee's may be paid as a part of the seminar registration fees.

  3. Meet all of the eligibility requirements

  4. Payment of certification fees. Payment of the one time $50.00 Certification Fee Note, that as a participant in this NAFI cosponsored seminar, the National Association of Fire Investigators has waived the $50.00 application fee. Certification Fees may be included as a part of the seminar registration fees.
  5. Successfully complete the certification examination.

If possible, the NAFI Membership application and CFEI applications should be completed prior to the start of the seminar. When completed application forms should be returned to:
