2006 EKU Rescue School
General Information
- Certification Hours and Continuing Education Credit
Continuing Education Units will be awarded by Eastern Kentucky University for all classes (upon request).
Fire Service Training hours and forms will be available for fire and rescue related topics.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Continuing Education Units for re-certification will be awarded for appropriate courses.
Duplication of hours will not be permitted.
- Equipment and Clothing

Participants must supply their own protective equipment that meets appropriate standards, clean and in good repair. In addition, for those classes that required participants to wear and use self-contained breathing apparatus as a part of a course, the participant must be clean shaven. Many classes have outside activities, check the course descriptions for special requirements. In general, participants should wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the type of course that they will be participating in.

The Perkins Building is located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky. From I-75, exit 87, travel east to the sixth intersection traffic light (At State Police Post, Madison County EMS, Richmond Fire Station), and turn right. The Perkins Building is about 1/8th mile on the right side of Kit Carson Drive.
